About Kassandra
A bit about me - I attended UCR for 2 years before transferring and graduating from UCSD (Go Highlander-Tritons!). Raised multilingual, multicultural (CHN+ENG+SPN), and musical. 8 years of collective experience writing professionally and editing papers. I also taught piano to 6-12 y/os. I can understand the various stresses a student can face - conflicting deadlines with a packed schedule, neurodivergence, or just pressure to get the good grade. For the duration of our lesson, I'm here to help you perform your best on whatever we're working on. Through accessing our best selves is when we can succeed.

I like to approach students with mutual transparency, encouragement, and the mentality that a lack of understanding does not reflect on any students' competency - we just have yet to find a perspective on the material that is compatible with the student's way of processing information. That being said, I like to begin by first hearing the student's goals, then jumping straight into class material. When time isn't on our side, I like to resort to quick feedback and straight-forward tips for essay writing and exam prep. Lessons are for high school (9-12) or undergraduate students in English/Comprehension/Philosophy/ Logic/AP Music theory courses, or college applicants who need help in the process.
