About MARCOS
Before focusing on the course (s), I do an interview with the student to get to know his desires, ambitions with music, tastes, gaps in learning, what he expects from the course, and I also ask for a small practical demonstration for the student to play , in case someone is already an initiate, who already plays. After this process, I approach the courses. I offer in my methodology of the instrument course a step by step of the subjects related to: Knowledge of the instrument and disposition of the notes both on the guitar and on the guitar; right-hand technique with and without reed and / or hybrid, two-hand coordination, subjects that will clarify the relationship of notes to chord structures, their types, qualities, functions, in which tones appear (Harmonic field) , scales and their formations, modes (or chord scales), melodic embellishment elements (ornaments and inflections) structural elements, among other subjects, however the form that these subjects are provided in the course of ins instrument, aims at much more practicality and execution than knowledge to deepen the concepts; expertise provided in the applied Harmony course. In this case, the concepts of Harmony are treated as the foreground and the instrument as a support and exemplification tool. I still offer the IMPROVISATION course for GUITARISTS AND STRING INSTRUMENTS .; whose book made and released by me in 2020 is the guiding principle of this course (IMPROVISATION) and must be purchased with a super discount right at the beginning of classes.

I have been a professional musician (guitarist) for over 35 years, with two degrees: Bachelor in electric guitar, graduated in 1994, which I had the opportunity to have as a full professor, the guitarist Nelson Faria and the degree course with skill in music , Lacto-sensu Post-Graduation in Higher Education Teaching and Master (Stricto Sensu) in Teaching Musical Practices by UniRio. I have two books released, the second on how to unlock improvisation, two original CDs of instrumental music on the Fusion Pop line. Before joining the University I graduated in Functional Harmony from Rio Música, a renowned school in Rio de Janeiro whose methodology came from Berklee College of Music - Boston and took some elective courses like Music Theory, Arrangement and Conducting for choir.
