About Lottie
I am a first year physicist at King's college London who is seeking a tutee. I am a hard working and dedicated student, who will be able to provide both academic and moral support for any tutee as I know how difficult studies can be. I took a foundation degree in maths and physics, after not having studied both subjects since GCSE, in which is received a first and was in the top 10% of my year. I am very passionate about both physics and maths, hence why I am seeking a tutee so I can help inspire and teach others in those fields. I run a study group at my university in which myself and other students get together and work on difficult problems so I have experience with teaching maths and physics. I did not take the traditional route into physics, as I did not do maths and physics at A-level. However I fell in love with the subject and decided to take a foundation year which would enable me to apply to undergraduate physics degrees. This was a very tough year, as I had to learn 2 years worth of A-level maths and physics content in the space of 8 months. However, I managed to come out of the foundation year with a first, being ranked in the top 10%, and an offer from Kin's college London. I learnt a lot about organisation, commitment and self motivation whilst on the foundation course, something I have found extremely helpful when dealing with the demand of university studies.
