About Noon
Nice to meet you! My name is Noon (like the time), and I am completing an undergraduate degree in history and creative writing at the University of Alberta. I have completed many different courses that require a strong grasp of the English language, and do my best to craft engaging lessons to help students “get English” or “get social studies.” In my free time, I enjoy reading books, writing my own poetry and short stories, and listening to music. I love cats and comics!

My lessons are designed for students in Grades 7 to 12, and I also am open to instructing introductory English for undergrad students. I want to cultivate an encouraging learning environment for all students. I understand that many students struggle with essay writing and generating ideas and theses, and I am happy to assist!
A typical lesson plan would be going over current classroom material (readings, books, etc). We would then have a discussion about the readings. I would then give suggestions on how to interpret the text and help with answering any homework questions, like short answer or reading comprehension.
I enjoy reading and writing—my goal is to guide others into enjoying it as well, or make it easier and less stressful.
