About Emma
I love maths, I’ve always found that maths is fun to learn when taught the right way, it’s simple and logical. You learn a method and apply it. That feeling of getting something right for the first time with a method you’ve just learned is one I hope I can bring. I want to be somebody that brings understanding to a topic maybe you struggle in, give you more confidence in the subject and make sure you’re getting the grades you need. I’m confident that no matter what level you’re at I can bring light to any topic you need.

Having gone through GCSE and A level maths and further maths, I am confident in the content covered. I’ve also previously tutored both my younger brother and a fellow student in my school at the time, both of whom improved their grades drastically with my help. For maths topics, I will go through a method, go through one or two examples, and one harder example and then work through questions on the topic depending on how much time there is in the session. I will also set a small amount of homework to go through for the next session and go through any problems or struggles. There are different approaches I can take with teaching certain topics as everyone learns differently, if you don’t already know what works best for you I can experiment the first few sessions to see how your mind works and learns better. Length of lessons between one to two hours depending on the topic. Also one to three times a week depending on the level of the student.
