About Retekh
I have been a student tutor for 4+ years, teaching anything from algebra to trigonometry to calculus. I’ve taken calculus I, II and III at Temple University. I began my tutoring journey in high school. I tutored a middle school student who fell behind in trigonometry and algebra during the Covid-19 lockdowns. He was barely passing the class. While tutoring him I was able to identify his gaps in knowledge. I gave him an intuitive understanding so he could answer related problems without my help. He went on to excel in his class and didn’t need my services anymore. They thanked me and I was glad. From that experience I realized I love to teach. So from then on I’ve tutored all kinds of subjects for students at various levels.

My sessions contain; • A deep explanation of the subject (that professors usually gloss over). I will explain the concept in a way that gives you both an intuitive and step-by-step understanding. The former so you can abstract the principles/formulas and apply them to various problems and the latter so you can quickly solve the problems on exams. • We will do tons of practice problems to drill in the concepts, I also take general questions and ones about practice problems you’ve had trouble with in class. • Upon request, we can go over study skills/habits so you don’t have to depend on a tutor anymore (this will be sprinkled in throughout the sessions regardless).
