About Jack
I am a hardworking, determined student, passionate to help others succeed in their chosen subjects. I plan to utilise my existing knowledge and theory to help students approach exams more confidently and in a more analytical light. As a student who has previously tackled A levels, it’s important general exam skills are also relevant in tutoring discussions as they ultimately mould content retention into a credible response. Utilising a holistic approach to exams and within tutoring is something I intend to incorporate, and something that helped me tackle GCSE’s and A levels with more confidence.

I intend to establish a friendly and professional relationship with students. Being an undergraduate, and a previously well equipped A-level student, content material remains fresh in my mind alongside knowledge of the necessary inventory to tackle exams, and their structure. During lessons, I will consider students academic objectives and tailor sessions in a smart, measurable manner allowing progress and knowledge retention to be easily visible. I will use PowerPoint presentations to help visualise concepts, and applications such as Quizlet to test knowledge. I have previous private tutoring experience, helping two GCSE students with business and English. My lessons are applicable to GCSE Business studies and English lit/Lang as well as A level Business studies and English literature. I achieved 3 A*’s in A level’s in: Business, English Literature and Geography. My lessons are typically 1 hour long, however can be increased/decreased depending on students desires.
