About Oladimeji
I believe that all students can succeed with the right guidance. I have studied under both the British and the Canadian curricula and have acquired both diplomas. My goal as a tutor is to break down learning into what makes sense, what can be applied, and what can be fun. I break down complex ideas into steps and give real-life examples so that ideas stick. I prepare for every session, making every lesson adaptable to the needs of each student. I want them to not only learn new things but also become more confident in themselves. Apart from tutoring, my interests include reading, arts and crafts, computer programming, and soccer. My hobbies keep me curious and open-minded, and I carry that same passion over to instruction. My distinction is my patience, dedication, and focus on true understanding. I do not simply want my students to pass their classes; I want them to develop skills and confidence that will carry them far after we're done teaching.

I focus on making ideas simple, clear, and relevant. I use analogies a lot to connect abstract ideas to real-life scenarios so that students can easily grasp them. I pay attention to problem-solving in real life—ensuring the students know the "why" of what they are learning instead of memorizing it. I check for understanding regularly and also adjust pace according to student needs.
My classes are about two hours long. I first recap the previous lesson briefly to reface and address misunderstandings. I then present new content in increments, using examples and analogy. Students get opportunities to practice what they have learned through guided practice. I end the class by setting students an exercise to practice what they have learned and stimulate independent thinking. Outside of sessions, I prepare for the next session, modifying material and examples to the student's progress.
What makes me different is how I tailor lessons to each student's learning style. I am patient, creative, and dedicated to making sure my students learn the subject matter for themselves and not just memorize it. I make learning fun, relevant, and less intimidating.
My tutoring is generally confined to students from elementary school to Grade 11. I tutor struggling students who are finding it difficult to keep pace, exam prep students, and even students who want to accelerate their learning. I tailor my approach depending on the subject, level, and personal needs of the student.
