About Jess
My name is Jess, and I’m currently studying English Literature with the goal of becoming a secondary school teacher after I graduate. I have a genuine passion for both literature and education, and I love helping others build their confidence, improve their skills, and find enjoyment in the subject. Tutoring allows me to share what I’ve learned in a supportive and engaging way, and I take pride in making complex ideas more accessible and enjoyable for my students.

Are you or your child looking to improve grades, build confidence, or develop a deeper appreciation for English Literature? I’m an undergraduate English Literature student with hands-on teaching experience, offering personalised tutoring that inspires, challenges, and supports every learner. I specialise in helping students prepare for GCSEs, A-Levels, and early university-level literature, offering clear and structured lessons tailored to individual needs. Whether you're struggling with essay writing, finding it hard to analyse texts, or want to enhance your exam technique, I’m here to guide you with a friendly, patient, and encouraging approach. With a strong academic background and proven teaching experience in both one-on-one and group settings, I bring not only subject knowledge but a genuine passion for literature and education. I focus on helping students think critically, express themselves clearly, and engage meaningfully with texts—from Shakespeare to modern novels and poetry. Whether you're looking to catch up, stay ahead, or simply gain a new appreciation for the subject, I aim to make English Literature both accessible and enjoyable. Sessions are available online or in person, with flexible scheduling and affordable rates. Let’s work together to unlock your full potential.
