About Paris
In high school I was a coach full time in the summer for kids aged 6-16 where I taught full time in the months of July and August at the Canoe Clubs, this taught me a lot about how to interact with kids in a way that they will be responsive to, and that is helpful for them. After thriving with Math in High school I took it in university along with Computer Science, after two years I decided that Economics and Statistics was what I truly liked and switched, although different the time spent in Math and Computer science taught me a lot of fundamentals at a high level that has transferred well to the rest of my degree and given me a foundation that allows me to teach and tutor younger students. I added philosophy to my degree to be as well rounded as possible, although the economics is more math orientated the skills of writing essays is invaluable and can be applied towards good communication skills

I am a current undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, I’m currently studying economics as well as statistics and philosophy. Going to University from public was a challenging change for me, and while I was a straight A student in Dartmouth I struggled with the higher expectations, because of this I had to work a lot harder to make up for it, having dealt with this learning new material in the arts and maths I understand how frustrating and difficult it can be when you are trying to learn something and it has made me a better teacher for it! I have worked with kids of all ages in sports and peer tutoring so I also understand that every person learns in a unique way and am prepared to accommodate you and your needs for learning, whatever that looks like!
