About Amaya
I am currently studying Law with Criminology at the University of Sussex and I have a passion for working with young people. English and History were my favourite subjects all the way through school, and now I hope I can pass on some of my skills and techniques to students.
I love to read, and I would hold my reading habits accountable for my success at A Levels, so there's my first piece of advice!
I want to tutor to not only help students get the grades they desire, but to work on my teaching and communication skills, as it is something I hope to take with me in my career.

After I've got to know what the student wants from tutoring, I like to tailor my hour long lessons to best suit them. Something that I think works really well from a teacher and students perspective is collaboratively writing essays with the students to ensure they understand how to achieve the most marks possible.
With English Literature in particular remembering quotes can be hard, so I like to think of fun ways to help my students stay engaged, like doing it under a time pressure.
My lessons can be for GCSE and A Level students who wish to push themselves
