About Freddie
I have always enjoyed mathematics because of its logical and problem-solving nature, and I find it rewarding to help others understand concepts that they may initially find challenging. Seeing someone gain confidence and reach a point where they can solve problems independently is one of the main reasons I want to become a tutor.
I am currently studying Economics at the University of Southampton and have received a first in my year 1 exams. My studies have strengthened my analytical thinking, attention to detail and communication skills, all of which are valuable when explaining mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
I want to teach because I understand that every student learns differently. I am patient, approachable and committed to adapting my explanations to suit each individual's needs, helping them build both their understanding and confidence. My aim is not only to improve students' grades but also to develop their problem-solving skills and encourage a positive attitude towards mathematics.
As I begin my tutoring journey, I am excited to support students in achieving their academic goals while continuing to develop my own teaching skills. I am committed to creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, knowing that these are an important part of learning.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I am happy to offer 90-minute sessions or shorter lessons where appropriate. Each lesson begins with a review of previous material, followed by learning or revisiting a topic, working through examples together, and finishing with independent questions to build confidence and identify any areas that need further attention.
I am currently studying Economics at the University of Southampton and am on track to achieve a First-Class degree. My strong mathematical background and analytical skills enable me to explain complex ideas clearly and logically. Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I am enthusiastic, patient and committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
My lessons are suitable for students studying GCSE Mathematics and A-Level Economics, as well as younger students who wish to strengthen their economic foundations. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, prepare for exams or achieve the highest grades, I tailor each lesson to their goals and current level of understanding.
