About Jonathan
I have a variety of experience with high school courses and a good understanding of college classes and expectations, so I can prepare students for middle, high school, and college academics proficiently. I enjoy running, reading, spending time with friends and family, and playing piano! I'm very passionate about using my knowledge to help others, which is a main reason for my passion for medicine.

As a tutor, I use elaborative rehearsal, mnemonics, and study techniques like active recall, spaced repetition, the Feyman technique, and more to ensure that students are able to not only understand, but retain concepts in the long-term.Through years of both tutoring and being tutored, I've gained experience on teaching strategies that work well with a variety of students. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and currently have the same in college, along with receiving a 1580 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT, which highlights an understanding of test-taking strategies that ensure students are able to showcase their knowledge to the best of their ability. As a current student myself, I also have unique insights into the challenges students commonly face in school; I approach my lessons on the basis of mutual respect and expect the same from the students I work with.
