About Karina
I am currently a university student at the University of Calgary, studying Biomedical Sciences. I have 10+ years of piano playing experience, in which I have completed the level 10 RCM practical and level 8 RCM theory exams.
In addition, I have experience working with children as a piano tutor, providing support in developing their skills and confidence in piano.

The first lesson will be for me to evaluate and assess your skills, as well as discuss the goals that you have, so I can tailor lessons to your needs.
A typical lesson will start with warm-ups and technical exercises, followed by guided work on assigned pieces. Between lessons, regular practice is expected so that I can provide meaningful feedback and help you continue progressing.
For beginners, lessons focus on building a strong foundation in note reading, rhythm, and basic music theory. I am especially comfortable working with beginner and early intermediate students, and I aim to make learning both structured and enjoyable.
