About Tiffany
Hi! My name is Tiffany, and I’m currently an undergraduate student studying Biochemistry at UC San Diego. I’m passionate about both the sciences, and I love sharing that passion through teaching. With years of experience in academics, I’ve taught students in a variety of subjects, including piano, clarinet, math, and chemistry. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from young beginners to high schoolers, and I always aim to make learning approachable, personalized, and enjoyable. Whether I’m teaching clarinet techniques, explaining a challenging math concept, or helping someone prepare for an exam, I focus on building confidence and making the learning process rewarding. Outside of school and teaching, I enjoy baking, swimming, and playing piano. I believe that education should be fun, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs, and I’m excited to help others grow and reach their goals!

With many years of experience teaching kids of all ages, I’ve learned how to adapt my lessons to fit each student’s learning style and pace. From teaching clarinet and piano to leading swim lessons, I’ve worked with children ranging from preschoolers to high schoolers, always aiming to make learning fun, engaging, and confidence-building.
In music lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, and musicality, while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Whether your child is just starting out or preparing for a recital or exam, I tailor each lesson to their goals and skill level.
In academic subjects like biology and math, I break down complex topics into simpler, relatable parts. I use visuals, practice problems, and real-world examples to make concepts easier to understand and remember. I also help students build better study habits and critical thinking skills along the way.
Above all, I strive to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to grow, make mistakes, and ask questions. My goal is not just to teach—but to inspire curiosity and confidence in every learner.

Tiffany is one of the most trustworthy teachers I know. She is always able to adapt to her students and find what works best for them and their needs. As one of her close friends, I find that many people see her as knowledgeable, patient, respectful, and most importantly, one who listens to her students. She goes out of her way to find different ways to assist students in their struggles and break down important and difficult concepts.
I was Tiffany's music director for roughly six years from junior high into high school. Tiffany has an intrinsic drive to complete tasks without additional prodding, and she has pretty good communication skills, as she would lead the clarinet section, and constantly have to communicate with the drum major (the leader of the whole band) to make sure the sections that the leader wanted to be improved was worked on during sectionals. I have a positive impression of Tiffany as she has demonstrated competence time and time again. One of the few high school students I felt I could genuinely trust to complete the tasks at hand, especially when leading the clarinet section.
