About Madi
I am a criminology major at the University of Alabama and a former student-athlete, bringing discipline and perseverance into my tutoring approach. I focus on helping students succeed in math by creating a supportive, interactive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. By breaking down complex concepts, guiding problem-solving, and connecting lessons to real-world examples, I aim to help students reach their goals and become confident, independent learners.

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, focusing on building confidence and ensuring deep understanding in math. I use a variety of methods, such as practice problems, breaking down complex concepts into simpler terms, and encouraging students to explain the material back to me to check for understanding. I also tie lessons to real-world examples to keep them relevant and engaging. A typical lesson includes reviewing prior material, explaining new concepts, guided and independent practice, and wrapping up with a recap. What sets me apart is my focus on making learning interactive and stress-free, creating an environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to ask questions. My lessons are designed for high school and college students, particularly in math, criminology, and introductory law.
