About Stephanie
Hi! I’m Stephanie, a current University of Bristol student who received an A* in both A-Level History and Politics, with the 2026 exam sit. I have up to date experience and knowledge with all things exam and content related, so I can support you in any way possible!
I have a genuine and long-lasting passion for History, all thanks to Horrible Histories when I was younger. It greatly influenced my drive for also studying A-Level politics as you’ll find both topics entwine and combine wonderfully together, in more ways than you’d expect. For me, it’s not just about grinding out revision and knowledge but also sustaining an interest and enthusiasm for what you study.
As a current university student, I understand how overwhelming studying can sometimes feel, especially when you’re balancing a busy workload with exams and everything else life throws at you. I know very well how stressful it can be trying to keep up and feel confident in your abilities, which is why I’d love to help make that process easier in any way I can!

Every session is different and completely tailored to you. We can go over tricky topics, practise exam questions, improve essays, or just focus on anything you’re struggling with. Or even if you want to drill key facts and knowledge to impress and gain those extra marks in your exams, I’ve got you covered. I’ll make sure to keep things relaxed, engaging and make sure you actually feel more confident by the end.
I prefer to keep my sessions casual and fun, so it doesn’t seem as though you are walking into another lesson at school, as I believe it is extremely important to keep you engaged and most of all, not be tedious and bored.
An average session may include (though tailored to specific needs):
First 5 Minutes - Warm welcome, a catch up, going over concerns or addressing anything wanting to be covered if not previously discussed
Until 30 minutes - Working on knowledge, exam skills, showing examples, timing or anything else requested
30-35 Minutes - A quick 5 minute break, if wanted by the student, as sometimes you just need a couple of minutes to relax and get your mind ready again
35 minutes onwards - A continuation of the lesson
60 minutes plus 5 minutes - Discussing any concerns or questions, or planning anything the student needs or requires for the next session, this is completely free of charge, so please don’t worry if the session runs over by 5 minutes or so!
* Upon request, I am more than happy to provide some out of hours work such as exam questions to be answered, writing example paragraphs, or simple bits of revision, but of course, I don’t want to hinder anything set by the school as actual homework or the priorities of the student
I can cover A-Level History and Politics (mainly AQA Board) for exam practise and knowledge revision, and GCSE History.
For A-Level History, for specific topic knowledge (not exam practice) I cover The Tudors: England 1485 to 1603, and Democracy and Nazism, 1918-1945.
- For AQA exam practise, I am able to read and mark and help for any topic, but please note I may only be able to provide exam material and aid, but unable to advise on specialist knowledge if not the topics stated above
For A-Level Politics, for specific topic knowledge I cover: US Politics, UK politics, and Ideologies such as Socialism, Conservatism, Feminism, Nationalism, and Liberalism. - For exam practise, I can only advise on AQA, but other exam boards cover the same knowledge and revision as AQA if it is revision material you need
For GCSE, for specific topic knowledge, I can cover Elizabethan England, The American West, Weimar and Nazi Germany and Crime and Punishment in Britain c. 1000 - Present.
- Able to cover all exam boards

She tutored me for my A-Levels as a favour to my mum and dad, and honestly she was amazing. I was working at around a C grade before, but with her help and explanations I improved to an A by Year 13. She’s really patient, easy to talk to, and explains things in a way that actually makes sense. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.
Stef tutored me for a level history. Her bubbly personality made it really easy for me to get along as well as understand her when teaching me subjects that I found hard to understand when teachers would try! I would highly recommend Stef.
Stef is an amazing and fun person to be around. She really helped me in my GCSEs, helping me to bring my history grade from a sad 4 to a crazy 8!! She broke down tricky topics into ways I could understand and made them memorable with her amusing anecdotes and entertaining spin on boring topics, and to be honest, she helped me write essays like my history teacher couldn’t. Thank you sooo much stef xx
