About Myriam
I am a native speaker of French. While I have a degree in teaching English as a second language, I taught in a French immersion school for several years. I was also the academic director there and taught didactics to future French teachers. My boss used to introduce me to students as his best teacher!
I am patient, compassionate and joyful. You will feel I'm truly interested in you as a person and invested in helping you achieve your goals.
I have had students keep me as their teacher for years and some have become good friends!
Every class is an opportunity, not only for you to better your language skills, but also for the two of us to share and connect!

I have experience teaching all levels and all ages. I love teaching beginners! I can explain clearly all grammar, from the basics to the most advanced structures. I can adapt my speech (speed and enunciation) to suit your needs. I can also help you with Québécois French pronunciation and vocabulary. My mastery of English allows me to understand and predict typical errors that English speakers make and to answer their vocabulary and translation questions accurately.
I understand every student is different in terms of which teaching practices are helpful and enjoyable to them. During the first class (which is free) I will evaluate your needs and you can express your preferences. I also constantly adapt based on my observations and my students' feedback.
