About Mark
I have been teaching and tutoring for nearly three decades and worked with students of all ages and levels. I've worked at universities and ESL schools and enjoy helping people improve their communications skills.
I've tutored students from all levels and consider myself patient and thorough.
Classes I have taught include English Composition, Effective Speaking, Creative Non-fiction (Journalism), Creative Writing (Poetry, Fiction, Screenwriting), Film Noir, and my own creation Poetry and Cinema (focusing on the influence of poetry on film).
As a writer, I have published in mainstream newspapers like The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Examiner and more niche journals like The Dublin Review of Books and Dream Catcher. I've written about travel, music, sports, urban life, and other topics.
