About Jessica
Graduate of the University of Exeter with a bachelor's degree in History of Art and Visual Culture. The humanities and literature are a passion of mine and I am working towards becoming a qualified English teacher so that I can share this passion. Being part of multiple book clubs, my favourite thing to do is talk about literature and inspiring the same passion into other people. I am currently working full time in a college, and while I am not a teacher yet, I volunteer in several classes a week.

I can cover all subject content for GCSE English literature including Shakespeare, the 19th century novel, and modern texts. My approach is heavily discussion based to encourage the necessary critical thinking and comprehension skills needed for the exams. Lessons are typically an hour and a half long to include time for reviewing the student's progress. I am also able to provide support for A-level English Literature students by proofreading their coursework and supporting with research. Similarly to the GCSE classes, lessons will usually be an hour and a half long but with a less structured plan to allow the student flexibility within the areas of the subject that need addressing.
