Bridget offered me an invaluable insight into gender studies and intersectionality whilst studying at university which has improved my academic understanding, guided my career and led to ongoing self developments and awareness. Her well structured, intuitive and carefully researched teaching methods work wonders and taught me in a way that was easy to digest and difficult to question. Having said this she encouraged us to question and analyse everything we read and this really helped develop my ability to think critically. Furthermore whilst completing my dissertation, Bridget supported me to improve my writing style in a way that was friendly and allowed me to make sense of my mistakes so I would not make them again. In addition to this Bridget also provided much needed pastoral care and inspiration in a professional, empathetic but constructive manner without which I may not have had the confidence in myself to complete this to the best of my ability. Eventually, thanks to Bridget, I received a First with Honours. I would not simply recommend Bridget as a tutor to another student, I would consider them fortunate to have the opportunity to benefit from her knowledge and excellence in teaching skills which precede her.
