About Luke
I have been a Teaching Faculty member in the English Literature department at the University of Tübingen since 2017 (ranked 24th worldwide for Arts and Humanities in the Times H.E. World University Ranking, 2021).
I completed a PhD at University College London in 2016, and also have a 1st class degree and an MA (Distinction) in English Literature from UCL (ranked 5th worldwide for Arts and Humanities, Times H.E. World University Ranking, 2021).
In addition to this I have published articles in leading peer review journals, including Twentieth-Century Literature, English Studies and New Cinemas. My first monograph, The Tramp in British Literature, 1850-1950, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.

I tutor university students - primarily those studying English Literatureand Cultural Studies. I offer module preparation, essay writing tutorials, dissertation planning, essay feedback, exam preparation, and other forms of tuition. I am a specialist in Victorian and Twentieth-Century Literature, but also teach ealier modules. Classes are typically 60-90 minutes, online or in person.
