I conduct applied, student-focused and interactive lessons because I believe that learning is more effective in such learning environments. To achieve this, I use the following techniques: Breaking down complex ideas into simpler ideas by using simple definitions to illustrate the complex concepts. Problem-solving approach by motivating students to apply knowledge learned to the real world context. Conducting engaging lessons by the aid of group discussions, question answer sessions, group exercises. Employing various learning Styles – such as visual demonstrations, musicals and hands-on learning. Conducting my lessons in a structured approach to maximize learning: Example of my lesson plan: Introduction (5-10 min) – Summary of the topic, learning objectives, and relevance to real-life scenarios. Breaking down complex concepts(15-20 min) – This involves providing students with an explanation of main principles of the concepts using drawings, examples, and analogies. Practical application (20-30 min) – This involves solving a variety of problems, discussing examples using case studies, and answering questions or concerns to strengthen the process of learning. Conclusion (10 min) – I would sum up all ideas discussed, mention the key takeaway points, addressing any questions available. Finally I would then assign any practical exercises to enable the student cement their understanding on the topic through practice. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor? I provide lessons to suit to each student's preferred learning style. My lessons are relevant in addressing various problems in fields such as Medical Statistics, Public Health, and Actuarial Science. I conduct my lessons in an engaging and comfortable learning space for students to feel free to learn and ask any questions related to the subject matter. I am flexible in that I am open to handling both one-on-one or group lessons through online and in-person learning. My Lessons are targeted at: University Undergraduate and Master's students in the fields of Medical Statistics, Public Health, Actuarial Science, and related subjects. Any students preparing for exams, research, or needing extra support with coursework in the above areas.
