About Cassandra
I am currently a first year law student with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne. I hope to work in international human rights law someday - you will struggle to find a tutor more passionate about this field than me!
While I am new to giving lessons, I have a long history with being a student and understand the kinds of pressures and confusion studying can bring with it.
I have also interned at the Sri Lankan Consulate and a political research firm, bringing professional experience from the field with me.

In my field, there is always tons of jargon - something I hate! I refuse to throw terms at you without giving them their proper context - my lessons come from a holistic historical, socio-political framework. There is no sense in learning from rote - I will always encourage creative, critical and lateral thinking.
A normal lesson will usually be discussion based - I learn best through written text, but will make sure to utilise many diagrams and other visual cues, including puzzles. There will be a mix of short answer and multiple choices quizzes to ensure learning checks, and I will encourage verbal delivery of knowledge if you struggle to write it out.
I believe that the best way to teach is through student led methods - you will know what you need from me, and what you are trying to achieve. I am an outgoing young person who looks for the humour in life - lessons with me are best suited to those who want to think critically and come out of their shell more. However, I am also patient and understand how difficult learning can be when balancing it with life's challenges - my lessons will always be supported by empathy.
