About Isabelle
My name is Isabelle Allison, and I am eager to take on students who share my love for history, as well as students who feel they need someone to teach it to them in a way that better gets them. Having worked with younger students in Peer Tutoring at my school, I understand the importance of communication and patience when teaching. I would happily change my teaching style and methods to suit my student's needs and learning pace, and help them build confidence. I am a friendly and engaging person, and am happy to adapt to help my students get as much as possible out of tutoring with me.

As a lover of English, I understand that to some people it can be difficult to wrap your head around. Tutoring with me would account for the needs of the student and the pace they learn at, and I would adapt my lessons to best fit individual learning methods. Having achieved top bands in both English Advanced and English Extension, I would also share my resources and methods with any HSC students. This includes compiling summaries, flash card tactics, and essay writing skills. I would apply this to working with younger students who are eager about English, or improving their scores. I am happy to go through essays and mark them for my students, as well as introducing them to the style of theses that HSC markers are looking for them to write. My lessons are for any ages, and go for an hour, though can be longer at request.
