My name is Eric, and my approach as a tutor is centered around helping students build confidence, understanding, and long-term academic success. I believe tutoring should be highly personalized, structured, and focused on each student’s specific goals.
Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching style is student-focused and adaptive. Every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals before building a plan.
I focus on:
Breaking complex concepts into simple, understandable steps
Active learning, where students solve problems and explain their thinking rather than just listening
Practice-driven improvement, using targeted exercises and assignments
Strategic test preparation, especially for standardized exams like the SAT
For standardized testing and college preparation, I emphasize test-taking strategy, time management, and pattern recognition, which are often just as important as knowing the material itself.
Because I am fluent in both English and Korean, I can communicate concepts clearly to bilingual students and help those who feel more comfortable learning in either language.
