About Ned
I am an Undergraduate student at the University of Oxford studying Arabic as part of a modern languages degree, with specialisms in language teaching and history.
I studied History, French and English at Higher Level on the International Baccalaureate and Italian, Maths and Environmental Science at Standard Level, graduating in 2024 with a grade of 41/45 and a 7 (Highest Grade) in History, Environmental Science, Maths and Italian.
I have also worked as Deputy Editor at Cherwell, an independent newspaper, and have experience writing news pieces for national and international outlets.

I am an Undergraduate student studying Arabic at the University of Oxford offering friendly, practical lessons to prepare students for exams, improve their writing style and develop their written confidence.
A graduate of the International Baccalaureate, I am able to provide tutoring to the following levels:
- Arabic to an intermediate level
- History GCSE and IB History Higher Level
- French GCSE and IB French B Standard Level
- IB Environmental Science Standard Level
- Practical writing confidence classes covering a range of journalistic writing styles for secondary school students
My classes aim to be practical, working on exam technique, practice questions and other tasks, which may include:
-Practice translations and text discussion for Arabic and French
-Primary source analysis for History
