I currently study Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia and have been teaching math for 4 years now. I have taught middle-school, high-school, and university level math to more than 20 students, some for work, some for fun, and some for community service.

Due to my tutoring background, my teaching is very individualistic. I like to start by seeing what you want to learn, what you want to focus on, and what you think your weaknesses are. Then, I'll check if your self-evaluation matches my evaluation. Something about me that may be different to other tutors is that I struggled with math until my second semester of 12th grade. My grades were okay, but they were not great, certainly not good enough for teaching. Then one day, it all clicked. The prolonged experience with doing mediocre in math allows me to see questions from my typical student's perspective much better than if I had just been strong in math my entire life. This also allows me to teach any student from elementary school to the university level.
