About Daniela
I am currently pursuing a PhD i their goals.n Translation Studies, focusing on subtitling popular culture. I love teaching because it allows me to help others achieve their life goals and it is a more practical application of my studies.
As a teacher at the University of Galway for several years, I know what is expected in language degrees. As a native speaker, I am also able to help students achieve a more natural-sounding Spanish.

Learning a language is learning a new way for you to exist in the world. It's a life decision that takes work, but it should also be fun and personalised to your interests and goals.
I specialise in using games, social media, music, shows and movies to find what sparks your love for Spanish and the many cultures that speak it. I am an avid board game lover, so I enjoy bringing that into class when possible, but I mostly enjoy getting to know my students and how they can communicate their authentic selves in a new language. I like to blend grammar learning and vocabulary acquisition throughout lessons slowly not to overwhelm students.
My lessons are 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the preference of the student. I recommend 60 to start.
I have been teaching Spanish at the University level since 2018.
I teach Spanish for students 15 and up.
