About Em

I am a student at one of the hidden Ivies with a background in communication, media, mentorship, and creative projects across finance, digital media, animation, and visual art. I am passionate about storytelling, art, and entertainment as powerful ways to connect with people and shape culture. I hope to one day own my own company or studio and continue to inspire others with my work!

As a tutor, I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and improving their English naturally. I am known for being collaborative, adaptable, patient, and highly motivated, and I enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and experience levels. Whether someone is looking to improve conversational fluency, academic English, pronunciation, or confidence speaking professionally, I focus on making lessons engaging, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s goals.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered around building confidence and helping students develop natural, comfortable English skills in a supportive environment. As a native English speaker and university student with experience in communication, mentorship, and media, I focus on conversational and practical learning. Lessons can include speaking practice, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, interview preparation, academic English, or casual conversation depending on each student’s goals and level.

A typical lesson begins with relaxed conversation before moving into more focused practice and feedback tailored to the student. I also understand that language learning happens outside of live lessons, so students are always welcome to practice through texting and written English conversations as well. What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to make lessons feel engaging and low-pressure for teenagers, university students, and adults looking to improve fluency and confidence in everyday or professional English. As someone who has also been studying foreign languages, I understand the difficulties that can come with it, and I want to be a supportive and helpful force for students who genuinely want to learn.
