About Abbey
I am Abbey and I am currently studying English Literature with History at university! English Literarure has always been my absolutely favourite subject as you can really get stuck into it. There’s so many ways that people perceive different materials which makes literature so interesting, especially when you go to the depths we do when studying it!
I’ve always loved to read, especially classics, gothic literature and modern literature, one of my current favourite books being “The Summer that Melted Everything” by Tiffany McDaniel. One day I would absolutely love to write my own book as I love reading fiction novels so much! As well as this, I love poetry. Analysing poetry (although may seem boring to some) is actually a really good way to broaden not only your analytical skills, but also your contextual and historical knowledge. There are many different ways that poetry is interpreted, which leaves a whole aray of ideas for us to explore together!

Before we begin our tutoring I will ask what exam board your school uses. This will allow me to buy any materials in order to specifically help you with your studies such as poetry anthology’s, books, plays or even helpful revision guides. I can also make recommendations to you on any extra materials that I think you’d find useful in your studies.
Please do not hesitate to ask for a session to be based on a specific topic. We will spend our time going through the material so that you fully understand and feel confident in your knowledge about the subject.
