About Adina
I am a student studying at the University of Leeds. I began tutoring aged 16 and specialise in English, Sociology and Religious Studies. For these subjects I received A, B, A grades (respectively) at A-level and A's in all three subjects during GCSE. My biggest strength is Philosophy and Ethics, as I achieved 100% in my AS Philosophy and Ethics exams in 2016.
I have experience with working with children with Special Education Needs as I have three younger siblings who have Autism, Asperger's and Down's Syndrome. I, myself, have ADHD so I know how to engage and relate to children who may struggle academically for reasons beyond their control. My teaching method is to make as many interactive resources as possible, I understand lessons can be boring and being overwhelmed with information is not the method I chose to use. I like to make learning fun and memorable. In Sociology lessons I like to use real life examples to build associations and help students to memorise information without actively trying. In English, I often incorporate visual aids and in Religious Studies, I like to find helpful videos that build on the topic.
