About Tumi
I’m 20 years old and I’ve always been interested in English as a subject. I’m currently continuing my studies in English at the University of Cape Town and have noticed something really important. How a concept is explained to you can really make or break whether you understand it and to what extent you understand. I’ve spent years now helping others (at my grade level and below) better understand difficult concepts and themes using simple methods that ensure success, even as the difficulty level increases. I also offer lessons in high school level life science and exam prep, Primary level Afrikaans as well as History at both Primary and High School level.

Break down hard concepts into easy-to-understand themes and instructions. I’ll teach you skills to not only understand poems practiced in class but how to apply those same skills to unseen poetry. We’ll go through completed essays to unpack the methods in writing and write a few of our own as well. Practice makes perfect and I’ll be there the whole time to help you understand!
