About Romilly
Hi! My name is Romilly, and I'm currently studying Digital Media and Culture at KCL. I have a varied background, currently studying a humanities based subject but holding A Levels in STEM, and spending much of my free time in the performing arts as an actor, singing, and dancer! Thus, I have a wide range of interests, meaning I can connect with students interested in nearly anything!
I know the struggle that a lot of students have with English, and myself found it a difficult subject at first, but I grew to love it and finished my GCSEs with top grades! Now, I have been able to help lots of students grow in confidence and ability and I absolutely love delivering English lessons!
I have an enhanced DBS check.

I have been tutoring English for several months and have experience teaching students in Year 5 through to students in Year 11 preparing for their English Literature and English Language GCSEs. I love helping students grow in confidence and ability and cater all of my lessons to the individual!
Lessons for younger students will cover basic reading and writing skills, and are engaging and fun, full of activities. For KS3 and GCSE students, I work according to their spec and the areas the student most wants to work on. Lessons will begin with a starter activity and recap of previous lessons, before moving on to the core content and then working through exam style questions to help the student gain confidence in sitting exams. Every lesson will finish with a plenary activity and an opportunity for feedback from the student to me and vice versa. The most important aspect about my lessons for me is making the lessons work for each student individually, so no two lessons are the same!
