About Ashlea
I’m Ashlea and I love all things books! Having published four of my own books and currently studying English and Related Literature at the University of York, my passion for the subject shines through in everything I do. From academics to my own independent research projects, I have excellent grades, knowledge, and extensive wider reading. I’m also a good teacher, being patient and compassionate, with great stress management skills and experience helping students both through my school’s mentoring programme and my study TikTok account.
I have achieved 9 GCSEs grade 7 and above, A*A*AA at A Level (A* in English Literature), and am currently studying for a Bachelor of Arts at a Russell Group university.

I am a great, patient, and kind teacher with a huge passion for the subject and experience working with student mentees in my school. Being tutored by me is fun, educational and great for boosting grades!
I have experience tutoring creative writing and general writing for 11+ and SATs exams. A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up exercise tailored to a student's strengths to boost their confidence, an overview of their homework and a chat about their confidence, energy levels and what they want to get out of the lesson. I then move on to building up that lesson's skills, before having some time for independent practice and feedback.
I have over 1 year of experience privately tutoring 11+ and primary school level English & Creative Writing.
