About Claudia
When I was younger, I had incredible difficulty with Mathematics and feared anything that involved numbers. Over the years I managed to have some wonderful teachers who taught me tips to wrap my head around complex problem solving. I want to pay these skills forward by engaging students in mathematics. Math can be wonderfully satisfying and beautiful when it is understood and taught well. My degree in Biomedical Engineering has illustrated how important math can be even for the human body in medical applications. I hope to share my passion for math while being a helping hand for as many students as possible.

I approach my lessons by making no assumptions that students have learnt certain concepts. I have an attention to detail that ensures that all topics of difficulty are covered in each session. I teach maths with a very simple method that includes writing steps for each type of question that may pop up in a test or assignment. Maths is full of patterns and this is very important to recognise in order to become a competent maths student. I typically run 1-hour sessions, but am happy to tailor the time to the student's needs. I have had over 20 students in the past and have experience with 5-year-olds through to 21-year-olds. My vast experience in mathematics has taught me how to tailor my explanations to different kinds of learners from alternate walks of life.
