About Smadar
Preparation for the French BAC in philosophy and IB, university competitions and PACES (medicine)
I am a philosopher, having taught at the University of Paris Diderot (Faculties of Philosophy, Medicine and Science) and the university of Catholic Institute of Paris
I propose a preparation for the French BAC in philosophy following my extensive experience in that domain, as well as for the French Concours in philosophy and PACES (medical humanities)
I also passed the IB in philosophy as an adolescent and have been successfully preparing students for this exam in English, so this option stands.
Tutoring takes place at our home, Paris 15 or via zoom. Teaching a group is an option as well

Following years of teaching thousands of students, I have developed a very effective approach for private lessons. My goal is to make the student totally autonomous and ready in 10-12 lessons. Essay: Each course addresses a theme, followed by an analysis of an essay question about the theme of the class using philosophical texts. The goal is to master the technique of the dissertation in order to properly structure your ideas and clearly address a philosophical topic. Text analysis: I use a method already tested with hundreds of students preparing for the competitions and which offers an excellent technique for any type of text. I also adapt to the needs of the student in order to teach them how to use their strengths, for example in the case of a fluid writing but that tends to be out of the point, I teach you how to structure your essay using a well drafted plan.
