About Priyana
Hey, my name is Priyana and I believe learning should be adaptable to individual needs to help students feel supported to their learning needs! My goal is to help students feel more confident, engaged and supported with challenging material, while developing key study habits to keep with their courses/semester!
I'm a strong believer in working step-by-step, making many mistakes and breaking down complex concepts to simpler ones. These are my top 3 staples to learning over memorizing material.
I’m definitely not the super-strict, intimidating type of tutor! I prefer to teach like a supportive friend who you can comfortably ask questions to without worrying about getting something wrong. Mistakes are part of learning, and there’s no such thing as a silly question.
My lessons are for students who want some extra help understanding their coursework, reviewing challenging topics, preparing for assessments, or finding study techniques that work better for them. Tutoring is meant to support and enhance your learning, not replace your classes or coursework.

Hi, I’m Priyana, and my goal as a tutor is to make learning feel less overwhelming and more approachable. I believe students learn best when they truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing it.
Teaching styles: I use a step-by-step approach tailored to each student’s learning style and needs. I incorporate visual cues, flashcards, mnemonics, examples, and simple explanations to make difficult concepts easier to understand and remember.
We begin by identifying areas that the student finds challenging, then break the material into smaller, manageable sections. We work through concepts together, practice applying the knowledge, and finish by reviewing key points to make sure the student feels confident with what they learned.
