About Jonathan
As a University of Virginia graduate, I have not only spent time tutoring and volunteering in the university's writing center, but I have also experienced a number of the challenges students today face. From AP exams, to college essays, and general book reports, I have spent time both instructing and navigating these tasks myself.

As a tutor, I look to design, implement, and maintain a coherent course of study to teach content, develop inquiry-based critical thinking skills, improve reading comprehension and overall writing ability. English is taught in a variety of ways, and while I aim to adhere to the ELA/ELD curriculum, the English language is shaped by our everyday lives and conversations; and I believe lesson plans should reflect that.
