About Thanniya
I am a University of Warwick student studying MChem Chemistry, with a strong academic background in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths. I achieved A grades at A-level in Chemistry and Biology and have a proven track record of supporting GCSE and A-level students to improve their understanding and confidence in science and maths.
I have experience working as a private tutor, delivering tailored lessons that adapt to each student’s learning style. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, helping students build strong foundations rather than relying on memorisation. Alongside tutoring, my academic training in chemistry has strengthened my analytical thinking, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
I am patient, approachable, and highly organised, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My lessons are structured, engaging, and fully tailored to the student’s level, goals, and exam board. I begin by identifying areas of strength and topics that need improvement, then design lessons that focus on understanding key concepts before applying them to exam-style questions.
For GCSE and A-level Chemistry, Biology, and Maths, lessons typically include:
Clear explanations of core concepts
Step-by-step worked examples
Practice questions with guided feedback
Exam technique and mark-scheme awareness
Regular progress tracking and review
I adapt my teaching style to suit each student, whether they prefer visual explanations, practice-based learning, or discussion-led sessions. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students feel confident, motivated, and independent in their learning.
Lessons can be used for exam preparation, topic consolidation, or building confidence in challenging areas.
