My role as a teacher is to maintain consistency and clarity in my expectations while being flexible and sensitive to the unique needs of each student. I aim to challenge and inspire my students' creative processes, encouraging them to expand their perspectives and embrace new ways of seeing. To achieve this goal, I blend the fundamentals of design and craftsmanship with diverse art-making techniques and art historical references spanning past and contemporary artists, styles, and methods of working. Additionally, I encourage students to draw from their other areas of interest and study to enrich their conceptual ideas.
