About Bob
Great teams and market leadership are responsible for the work shown here. The work represents a career that started in 1985 and expands to the present. Those teams have been with some of the most creative and talented in the industry, including the engineers, consultants and contractors, along with the craftsman and laborers, who actually put it all together. Building great projects takes teamwork along with vision, and the vision starts with the client's dreams.
For 37 years, j robert bazemore has provided services in furniture design, architectural interiors master planning, programming, strategic consulting, environmental graphics, and design. He has established relationships with clients throughout the world. He has projects in the USA, France and China.
j robert bazemore is committed to design excellence. Working in close partnership with his clients, j robert bazemore develops and creates places that emphasize the client’s brand. He believes that the solution must be effective for the people who use them and be profitable for the companies who provide them. Through innovation, expertise, and service, j robert bazemore continues to create memorable experiences that deliver results by building brands and moving companies to market leadership.
Bob is the founding member and principal in j robert bazemore inc. A 1985 graduate of Winthrop University with a BS in Design, he is responsible for the unique design experience that has become a hallmark of j robert bazemore inc. Over 37 years of project experience in contract interiors, project management, and product design, has yielded him two Monsanto DOC awards, an Antron design award along with several regional awards. His work has been featured in numerous industry publications.
Among some of Bob’s most rewarding achievements are his product designs. These include wall sconces for Boyd Lighting; fabric for DesignTex’s Unique Solutions; furniture offerings in DarRan’s portfolio of products; and several years with Brayton International’s Studio B collaborating with healthcare, occasional, lounge, masters, and executive collections. He was an instrumental part of the team that successfully re-branded and re-deployed Brayton International’s products. He continues to collaborate with several of Steelcase’s brands for review and development. He is currently working with several contract furniture manufacturers on their showroom and collateral material for the launch of new products.
Bob taught at Winthrop University in the fall of 1986 while working at Clark Tribble Harris and Li in Charlotte NC. Most recently he was a professor of furniture design at Savannah College of Art and Design. (2009-2017). While attending Winthrop University he worked two semesters for the offices of Campus Planning and Design at Winthrop working closely with the University officials and staff to renovate several of the campus buildings. As a student at Winthrop he served 3 years on the Dean’s student advisory council. He was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. He is a founding father of the SC Sigma chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Winthrop University.
