About Athira
As a passionate educator with over a decade of experience, I am confident that my expertise in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for all the children would make me an ideal fit for this role. With a strong background in special educational needs and expertise with a strong science background, I possess a unique blend of teaching, counselling, and leadership skills that enable me to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills in students. My experience in adapting to diverse educational settings, including higher education and high school environments, has equipped me with excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. As a committed counsellor and academic coach, I am proud of my achievements in supporting students with diverse needs, including those with SEN, SEMH, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia etc. My expertise in modulating individual lesson plans, using supportive systems, and implementing assistive technology and behavioural management strategies has enabled me to make a positive impact on the lives of my students. Talking about my qualifications, I hold a Master's degree in General Chemistry, a Bachelor's degree in Education, Diploma in Computer application and various certifications, including Safeguarding Children level 2, Prevent duty training and Education Counsellor and Life Guidance Coach certification. I also hold QTS equivalent teaching certification that helps me to teach students from all over the world which is CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility test) and KTET (Kerala Teacher Eligibility test for state). I am excited to leverage my skills and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of students and indeed contribute my 100% to guide and develop them as the best individuals.
