About Frances
Nice to meet you! My name is Frances Hernandez, and I’m a dedicated dance teacher based in sunny Miami, FL. Dance has been a part of my life for over 18 years, and my love for it continues to grow stronger every single day. It’s not just what I do—it’s who I am. I’m a proud graduate of New World School of the Arts, where I honed my craft in their renowned Dance Department and earned my diploma in 2019. Since then, I’ve taken my passion to the next level by starting my own dance business, ALLEGRO DANCE, where I offer high-quality dance instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. With 4 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible variety of students, from young children to adults. No matter your age or experience level, I’m committed to helping you find your rhythm, improve your technique, and most importantly, enjoy the process of learning and growing through dance.

My Teaching Method and Techniques:
As a passionate dance teacher, I believe in creating an environment where students feel confident, motivated, and inspired to grow. My teaching method blends structured technique with creative expression, ensuring students develop strong foundational skills while exploring their unique style. I use a combination of visual cues, verbal instructions, and hands-on corrections to cater to different learning styles, ensuring that each dancer can progress at their own pace. From beginners to advanced dancers, I tailor my approach to meet individual needs and goals.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (10-15 mins): We begin with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for movement, focusing on flexibility, mobility, and basic strength-building exercises.
Technique (20-30 mins): The core of each lesson, where we work on specific dance styles or techniques (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop). This includes drilling movements, posture alignment, and body awareness.
Choreography/Improvisation (15-20 mins): Depending on the class type, students will either learn a short piece of choreography or explore improvisation to enhance their creativity and self-expression.
Cool Down (5-10 mins): Stretching and relaxation to ensure proper muscle recovery and maintain flexibility.

Whether you’re looking to learn a new style, refine your technique, or prepare for an upcoming performance, my lessons are designed to help you reach your full potential. I teach a variety of dance styles, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and street dance. My lessons are suitable for students aged 6 to adult, and I also offer specialized classes for those preparing for auditions or competitions.
