About Siena
I am a passionate piano tutor with 7 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies. Alongside teaching, I work as a composer and performer, which keeps me deeply connected to the music world. I believe music is a lifelong journey, not just a skill to master. This belief shapes how I guide my students, whether they are beginners just starting out or advanced musicians refining their craft. My goal is to inspire confidence and creativity at every stage. I tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs and musical interests. Technique, expression, and theory are all important parts of my teaching. I enjoy helping students prepare for exams, performances, and personal goals. As a performer, I understand the challenges of live playing and share practical tips with my students. Composition is another passion I bring into lessons, encouraging students to explore their own musical ideas. I believe that music can enrich life in many ways. Teaching allows me to share that joy and help others discover their voice. I am committed to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment. My teaching approach focuses on making piano lessons enjoyable and effective for every student. I tailor lessons to fit each learner’s goals and skill level, whether beginner or advanced. Technique and musicality are key foundations in my classes. I also include music theory to deepen understanding and support exam preparation for ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Levels. History of music is woven in to give context and inspire students. For those interested in creativity, I offer guidance in composition and improvisation. I emphasize developing strong sight-reading skills to build confidence. Whether you love jazz or pop styles, I help you master the skills needed to excel in these genres. My lessons are flexible and adapt to each student’s pace. I encourage active listening and critical thinking about music. Practice strategies and performance tips are also part of my methodology. Above all, I aim to nurture a lifelong love of music. The curriculum I follow aligns with recognized exam boards, ensuring students are well-prepared. I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way on your musical journey.
