About Kimberly
I am a 2nd year UNSW student studying a double degree in Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. As an avid participant in extra curriculars during high school, I am familiar with the stresses of wanting to achieve or maintain high marks while being active in my school community and social life. While I maintained an internal Rank 1 in Advanced English in Y11, I felt overwhelmed and fell behind at the start of Y12. When I got a private tutor, I felt much more steadied due to her being both my mentor and friend, as she could relate to me easily since only graduating a few years before me and tailored her tutoring to my personal needs. By the end of Y12, I earned a competitive spot of rank 7 after being tutored by her consistently throughout the year. I believe private tutoring can offer amazing improvement and personal guidance.

SOCIETY & CULTURE Popular Culture Belief Systems and Ideologies MY TEACHING STYLE will be specifically tailored to my students' LONG-TERM needs. I will ensure that they have a profound understanding of their syllabus and their content. Then, this will be solidified with an abundance of practice questions, retrieved from an external source or passed on from myself (from past study). I offer online tutoring via calls, with a livestreamed view of my iPad or shared document for live engagement/discussion, tailored to my students' goals.
AS AN AVID PARTICIPANT IN EXTRA-CURRICULARS during high school, I am aware of the struggle in balancing one's studies with such extra-curriculars. Thus, I am able to be more than a tutor, but a mentor in organised study plans and methods for my students, such that they feel comfortable with a WELL-BALANCED workload, without sacrificing external interests. As a recent graduate of the 2022 cohort, I am eager to pass on the importance of internal rankings, how to write to earn marks, and how to create efficient study notes/tactics. I believe understanding content months before their HSC is key, in order for them to refine their exam-writing skills and prepare the ways in which they would construct high-quality responses.
OVERALL, my style is simplified as: 1. Learning content early, tailored to the learning style of my student (i.e. visual, analytical) 2. Abundant practice for (a) THEIR familiarity with the topic and (b) personal feedback
