About Sohini
I am an independent researcher and teacher with a Master’s degree in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and a UGC-NET qualification in the same subject. I am also preparing to begin my PhD, with research interests in gender and sexuality studies, marginalization, inequality, public policy, and cultural representation. Teaching for me is not just about covering the syllabus but about helping students see how Sociology connects to everyday life. I use examples from media, art, and society to make concepts clear and relatable. My aim is to create a space where students can ask questions freely, build confidence in their ideas, and prepare effectively for their exams, whether they are in school, university, or working towards UPSC.
