About Sulaiyman
I’m an Information Systems student at Carnegie Mellon university, the #1 ranked computer science college in the U.S. (U.S News Rankings) and #3 in the world (QS ranking by subject).
With both a British and American educational background, I am familiar with the university admissions process for both countries. I scored 3A*s and 6As, with A*s in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
Experience with individual/small group teaching IGCSE and SPM mathematics and add-maths.
I believe life is all about learning no matter your age, and that teachers have a big role in shaping a student’s success. Aside from academics, I co-founded an aviation youth group in 2020 to teach young people about the aviation world, connecting pilots and aerospace industry experts to the next generation.

I teach IGCSE and SPM Maths, using Microsoft whiteboard and Zoom as medium of instruction. Students will first do an evaluation test so that they will have a more customisable and tailor-made learning experience. We will sort out a schedule together based on the student's needs.
Students learn best by thinking independently and by figuring out new problems based on their existing knowledge.
Risk-taking is crucial in learning and that’s where mental development occurs. When teaching new concepts or topics, I usually explain only what is necessary and allow the student to use their own intellect to figure out a problem, with only minor assistance if needed.
I love getting to know someone I teach, their aspirations, their style of learning, their background and personality. I understand that every student is unique and I try to adapt to their style of learning as much as possible.
In online classes, I prefer to have the student’s webcam switched on so that I can interact better with them and assist their concentration. Aside from normal class time, I also offer support outside the classroom if they have any questions. I teach online using Zoom and Microsoft whiteboard.

He teaches Maths very well and explains stuff in various details that makes some complicated methods very understandable.
Speaking from the most genuine place, Sulaiyman had tutored me maths for my GCSE’s while I have learning disabilities including dyslexia and ADHD and out of my previous tutors, I’d say he’s the best maths teacher I’ve had personally by far. He is patient, soft spoken, well educated and his method of explaining helps a lot for people who’ve always struggled with Maths
