About Thea
I recently graduated from USC with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Cinematic Arts. During my time at USC I tutored college students with math, science, Spanish and writing courses. In addition to that, I have volunteered as a teaching assistant for elementary school students. Also, I volunteered as a teaching assistant for middle school students. My experience as a tutor has been extensive and I really enjoy teaching, especially since it helps me stay fresh on concepts as an aspiring medical school student.

My lessons usually last an hour or an hour and a half. For science/math courses, I think the best way to learn a concept is through problem-solving, so I encourage students to try it out first, and if they need help, I talk them through the problem or share my thought process on how to solve it. What sets me apart as a tutor is how much I care and my willingness to help organize study schedules outside of tutoring so that they succeed in their course.
