About Edward
I am a PhD graduate who has been a researcher and a sessional academic at the University of Sydney from more than 5 years. I have been in different roles including tutor, marker, lecturer and unit coordinator at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have taught subjects such as 'introduction to politics', 'public policy analysis', 'international relations theories', 'Chinese politics', 'US-China relations' and 'terrorism and organised crimes'.

Teaching Philosophy:
1. Learn comprehensively: There is no single learning method, I prefer to have different teaching styles with different students.
2. Critical thinking: I like to challenge my students' existing understanding, making them to search for the real truth of our world.
3. Interact using virtual platform: The use of technology can help students digest knowledge quickly. I do not only do Face-to-face tutoring, but also Zoom, Google Meet, and other online interactive platform.
4. Look for feedback: I am also a person. I like my student to give me feedback on my teaching styles and methods, so that I can improve the next time I teach.
Lesson can be:
1. One-on-one: Come along with any questions you have and let's sort out together. It can be either face-to-face or online.
2. Group: Give me a topic to prepare and learn something new. Prefer online.
3. Help for assignment: Send me an essay plan or a draft essay. I will comment on your writing styles, structures, contents etc. Prefer online.
